The Potential

HOW WE GOT THIS JACK KIRBY COVER" Michael and David first created the concept of The Potential in 1983. At this time, Michael was inking Jack Kirbys pencils for the Captain Victory comic book series. While working in Kirbys studio one day, Michael showed Kirby the cover he had penciled for the first issue of The Potential. With his typical enthusiasm, Jack not only critiqued the pencils, but quickly sketched out his own version of the cover. We are proud to be presenting Kirbys version of the cover, as finished by Michael Thibodeaux for the first issue!

The Potential - 2% hero 98% Coward

With great power doesn’t necessarily come great courage! Our Hero, Scott Lindsey realizes this and wants to avoid getting squished, splattered or smashed! He tries to avoid trouble, but he’s made a deal to be a super hero. Will he grow comfortable with danger or will he keep trying to weasel out of his commitments? Find out in the 5 Episodes of
The Potential- 2% Hero 98% Coward VOL 1

Filmfax #118 should be out the last week of August, and contains lots of Kirby graphics and information! We’d like to thank writer Alan Doshna for the great job he did in putting our interview article together for the magazine, and publisher Michael Stein for featuring us in his top-knotch magazine. Also, there’s a very cool story about the great Marvel monster comics of the late 1950s and early 1960s, with lots of artwork by Jack kirby and Steve Ditko included.

COMIC-CON INTERNATIONAL 2008

It sure was fun being at the comic con International. We saw a lot of old friends and met new ones as well. A lot of people asked when the GBH second series was coming out, and although we do not have a specific time frame we can tell you that Marvel has put inker Al Gordon on the project. Keep watching this site for further updates.
